Supported by Higher Education Commissioner Raymund Paredes, Senate Bill 25 passed the Senate this week. The goal of the bill is to facilitate the transfer, academic progress, and timely graduation of students in public higher education. SB 25 would make students more aware of courses they need to take based on a career plan they are now required to file with an academic adviser. The bills also has other requirements on post-secondary schools to report a list courses not eligible to transfer.
